Hotel Babylon ethnicity notes:

They aren't suppose to be working there, they are working in the hotel illegally.
All of the people that work in the hotel are foreign, looking for work to earn money. They may have come over here as they feel their original country is dangerous.
They are all stereotyped as pitied, as they are given jobs because they come from countries that are dangerous, this is reinforcing their stereotypes.
The people in the scene that are English, walk with authority as they know they are not in trouble. Also they are in business dress, where as all of the foreign people have jobs like caretakers and cleaners.
Nearly everyone that is employed as lower class jobs are illegally in the country.
The white people create conflict between them and the people of other ethnicity in the clip, as they take the african man away to be sent back, as he is in the country illegally.
The white people could be represented as dangerous for sending them back to their homelands and all of the other ethnicities in the clip could be unified as they stick together to make sure they aren't caught.
Costume- The people of other ethnicities are dressed in uniforms such as overalls and cleaners uniform, showing they are in lower paid jobs than the white people, as they in business dress, meaning they run certain parts in the hotel and generally other higher up jobs than cleaners.
Props- The african man that got taken away was using a vacuum cleaner, showing he is a cleaner within the hotel, which is low pay.
Dialogue- The cleaners have different accents, such as african. The people with higher up jobs have English accents.
Tracking shots- Showing the person running to tell the illegal workers to hide, showing he has less power than the police who are searching for the foreign people.
